Networkfleet tracking software review
Networkfleet is a full service GPS tracking company that offers fleet management services to businesses of all sizes. Networkfleet was recently acquired my Verizon, which means all of their devices are now running on the nation’s largest and most reliable cellular network. This is not the first major telematics related acquisition Verizon has taken part of in the past and should lead to increased service and reliability across all of their holdings.
Networkfleet specializes in tracking large and government fleets at the base of it’s business, but can also be used by individuals as well. They have a full suite of add-on services to tailor the program to meet the end user’s needs. There is no white-label service available for their software, which means those looking to start a GPS tracking business and private label their software will have to look elsewhere.
Networkfleet software features
As far as the actual software goes, Networkfleet’s system can be a bit hard to navigate at times and requires the navigation of complex sub-menus to get more detailed information about fleet use. This can be somewhat time consuming to access and may require that users/employees spend additional time learning how to use the platform. On the plus side, the reports on fuel and vehicle usage generated by Networkfleet’s software are extremely well put together and easy to decipher. However, the ease-of-use factor is definitely a concern when comparing their cloud based platform to companies such as GPSWOX and Navixy which are much less complex to navigate.

Bofan employs over 500 skilled workers, and has tremendous production capabilities of it’s units to meet the demands of today’s current markets.

It’s important to choose a GPS tracking device manufacturer that holds themselves to the highest quality standards, due to the fact that GPS tracking devices are often relied on at all hours to provide critical and actionable data.
Bofan GPS trackers
Bofan offers 8 different hardware units for personal and car tracking. This is definitely not a huge number when compared to other manufacturers in the industry, but it still is diverse enough to manage the tracking of most assets at least. Bofan’s vehicle tracking options are quite extensive when it comes to features and offer remote engine disabling, fuel sensing and one model even has built in support for monitoring up to 4 cameras. As far as personal tracking goes, Bofan offers 2 different models. One which does basic GPS tracking and has an SOS button and another that does all of that plus has support for 2 way voice. These personal tracking devices can be very helpful for monitoring young children, the elderly and those with disabilities who are prone to wandering. With these portable tracking solutions, caregivers are able to locate and communicate with the people who they are responsible for.
Teltonika GPS tracker company review
When looking for a Technology provider to help manage your fleet’s day-to-day operations, it’s important to understand what value they bring to the table in terms of providing a reliable and cost effective solution to help your business profit. Today I’ll be reviewing Teltonika’s IT division and GPS tracking solutions to help readers gain a better understanding of the solutions they provide.
Teltonika is a GPS tracking and communication device manufacturer which has over 18 years of experience in the industry. Their offerings are broad and cover GPS tracking and in vehicle networking solutions that meet almost every need. They also specialize in design services for new and intuitive hardware for customized solution. They have also expanded their manufacturing capabilities to include those of other electronics firms as well. Teltonika was able to achieve this growth by holding to their quality standard and producing reliable products consistently.
Teltonika GPS trackers
Teltonika’s IT division has many different products which cover a wide range of uses in the fleet management and security side of things. They offer 3 different types of IP cameras for both indoor and outdoor use, which are great for yard management and safety and security purposed. Teltonika also offers high performance in-vehicle routers as well. These routers can run off a wide range of wireless spectrums (depending on what’s available in your area) and serve to help fleets stay connected on the go. This helps meet the demands of providers of mobile WiFi amenities and also for service technicians who need a reliable connection on the go. There are also quite a few GPS tracking devices manufactured my Teltonika as well. They range from basic plug-and-play trackers, to full blown fleet trackers with multiple inputs/outputs and support for additional peripherals.
GPSINSIGHT tracking software review
Today, I’ll be reviewing another major telematics provider on the market called GPSINSIGHT. GPSINSIGHT has been around for a little over 10 years, and has roots in the trucking industry. I’ll be going over the pros and cons of the service in this review, and hopefully this gives readers a better idea on what the GPSINSIGHT platform can and can’t do for them.
GPSINSIGHT is a full featured GPS tracking company, based in North America that provides tracking solutions for multiple industries and has a highly customizable software suite which allows businesses great flexibility in how they use it, and what types of data they can collect. GPSINSIGHT has solutions available for tracking even the smallest size fleets, all the way up to fleets of over 1,000 vehicles.
GPSINSIGHT software usability
Something that really stands out with GPSINSIGHT is how easy it is to navigate the software. All basic vehicle information is presented clearly on the main screen and it’s easy to see critical vehicle information. As far as alerting and reporting, these options are also available in sub-menus to be accessed separately. There is also a pro version available for fleets of 26 or more which provides a much more in-depth look into a fleet’s usage. This pro version is more difficult to navigate, and is definitely not as good as something like Navixy or Fleetmatics Reveal, but it still can be of use, especially for large fleets, it just might take some additional time to get used to.
Frotcom tracking software review
With so many different GPS tracking providers on the market today, it can be confusing to decide which company you should choose to provide you with the best solution. In this article, I’ll be reviewing Frotcom’s GPS tracking platform to hopefully give readers a better understanding of the company’s services, features and reliability. This will allow those in the market for a GPS tracking system to make an informed decision when it comes to choosing a provider.
Frotcom has been in business since 1997 and provides GPS fleet tracking systems which are distributed in over 30 countries at this time. Frotcom’s core focus is on fleets of every size, and providing them with a host of tracking options for multiple situations. Frotcom is also heavily vested in research and development to stay on top of the ever changing trends in the global telematics industry.
Frotcom tracking software features
At it’s core, Frotcom gives users a way to track and manage their fleet of vehicles, no matter where they are located. There are also a host of other optional features available such as access control, route management, advanced reporting and other helpful features for managing a fleet of any size. There is also support for sensor monitoring which seems to be fairly standard when looking at similar companies. One thing which does stand out with Frotcom however, is the support for advanced monitoring of cargo doors on trailers. Frotcom offers wired and wireless sensors compatible with their hardware which can detect opening and closing of cargo doors. This is extremely helpful when combating cargo theft and can generate alerts if the doors are opened or closed at specified locations or during odd hours.
Fleetmatics tracking software review
It’s incredibly important to do your research when looking at a GPS fleet tracking provider to ensure that you are getting the highest quality service and functionality for what you pay. Today I’ll be reviewing the Fleetmatics platform, hardware and options available to customers. My hope is that this will provide some insight as to whether Fleetmatics (Verizon Connect) is the best choice for your fleet vehicle tracking needs.
Fleetmatics is a full-service GPS tracking provider that is focused entirely on fleet vehicles, ensuring operational efficiency as well as compliance with current mandates for transportation companies. They offer several levels of service, which I’ll also get into later in this review. Another thing worth nothing, is that Verizon has recently acquired Fleetmatics and added it to it’s growing portfolio of telematics investments. In my opinion, this will only help ensure the reliability and quality of service that Fleetmatics provides by using the Verizon network exclusively.
Fleetmatics software options
When it comes to using the Fleetmatics software there are a couple of different plans you can choose. The first is Fleetmatics Now, this is basically a lite version of their software for those who just need to know the current and historical location information of their vehicles. The second is Fleetmatics Reveal, which offers more advanced features such as custom alerting, geo-fencing, driver ID and more. This allows small businesses to get exactly what they need out of a fleet tracking system without paying for features they don’t need.
Meitrack GPS tracker company review
Meitrack is an experienced GPS tracking system provider and manufacturer which has been in the industry for over 12 years and counting. Meitrack provides software solutions for those looking to start a GPS tracking business, and hardware solutions to meet the needs of it’s customers worldvide.
Meitrack’s software is cloud based and upon using it for several weeks, it seems to be pretty straightforward to use it for managing a fleet of vehicles. While it’s easy to do basic locating and historical referencing on the Meitrack platform, it can be a bit difficult to navigate the menus to pull up more detailed information on vehicle usage and fuel consumption. While not a deal breaking issue, keep in mind that this will take some additional time to master.
Meitrack GPS trackers
As far as hardware support goes, Meitrack manufactures their own devices and has quite a few different options which are suitable for tracking almost anything imaginable. When tracking a mixed fleet of vehicles, assets, containers, etc… it’s extremely valuable to have lots of option for tracking your assets. By using devices that are specifically built for monitoring a certain type of asset, it allows you to collect much more actionable data about it’s usage than trying to use one device type to track and manage everything.
Coban GPS tracker company review
Coban (AKA Shenzen Electronics CO) Is a GPS tracking device and software solutions provider which has been in the industry for over 15 years and counting. Coban offers a number of hardware solutions, all of which seem to be fairly popular amongst the budget GPS tracker crowd. Coban also has their own software solution which works with all of the devices that they sell.
Coban GPS trackers
Coban offers 12 different hardware devices, suitable for a wide array of tracking needs. They have plug-and-play and hardwired options available to ensure that the trackers can be used on almost any type of vehicle. Coban also offers an asset tracker of sorts, which contains a magnet inside of a sealed enclosure. However, this is not the best asset tracker on the market that I’ve seen and it does not allow for more permanent mounting options such as the kind that use a plate and screws to affix the device to an asset. This leaves customers with a mixed fleet of assets such as semi trailers, shipping containers and fleet vehicles at a disadvantage for tracking their entire portfolio under one platform.
GpsGate tracking software review
With variety of providers to choose from when looking to enter the GPS tracking market, it’s important to do your research on each provider to ensure that maximum value is provided with the solution you end up choosing. Today I’ll be reviewing GPS Gate’s hosted software solutions for those interested in tracking a fleet of vehicles, or who want to start a GPS tracking company and would like some guidance.
GPS Gate offers both self-hosted and hosted GPS server options, something which is very common throughout all industry providers. With the hosted solution, a fee is charged monthly per tracked asset. With the self-hosted option, users must purchase one license per tracked asset, this license is perpetual. Both of these options include secure encryption and a full suite of account management tools. Both of these options are great for people looking to start a GPS tracking business that provides a monitoring service to customers so they can manage their assets remotely.
The GPS Gate software is customizable and allows for the changing of map providers as well as branding for those who are starting a new GPS tracking business. There is also a mobile device friendly version of the website for ease of access on the go. The software allows for real-time GPS tracking, which gives business owners and individuals valuable insight into the usage and location of their assets. There is also a built in notification and alerts engine, which allows for custom text message or email alerts based of certain parameters such as vehicle theft, harsh driving, speeding, etc. There is also a full reporting suite for in depth analysis of fleet vehicle and asset activities. Another software add on is vehicle maintenance, this is good to have to ensure that fleet vehicles receive the proper care they need and nothing is forgotten. (more…)
